A couple of questions:

1) What was the attendance for last night's game? And I don't mean the figure announced of 23,703 but the actual attendance, i.e. people through the turnstiles.

2) The actual definition of attendance is "The number of people present at a particular event". Do you not think you should be using a different term when announcing as you are clearly misleading people.

A further update on this from the ticket office:

The announcement of a 'sold attendance' is a standard practice for many football clubs. We receive many emails asking why seats are empty and unsold when it fact very often the seats have been sold. Announcing a sold attendance more accurately reflects the demand for any particular match as there will be any number of reasons for people not being able to attend a match if they have already purchased a ticket.
