So no, yet again you can’t actually answer the question .Get a clue.

I have made my valid point it's been said and done. Tara, Chump. If or when we get a Neo Nazi attack I shall condemn it strongly and I won't derail it into "But what about the Muslim terror threat."

As predicted a(nother) Islamic Jihadist has acted on his Allah driven mission to punish evil westerners but the real problem in Britain today is the extreme right. Righto gotcha. Carry on.

Nobody has said that. You're making things up.

The way a discussion goes is 'on the one hand this, on the other hand that, can we see what's important here?'
Not 'on the one hand this, on the other hand, who cares because I just chopped your hand off' ???

Which offers as much as a Christmas cracker joke, you should stop reading the Daily Mail.

Your Tories have been in power for ten years stripping the funding of all the services that would worked to see him de-radicilsed, You can't lock someone up for ever if the state won't fund it.

You'll be blaming the EU next.

Nothing to do with the EU or the newspaper I read - I just feel sorry for the victims, who wouldn’t have suffered had those individuals not been released too early.

I think the problem is that when someone mentioned non muslim attacks (and we didn't know intitially) someone took it upon themselves to invent some nonexistant argument about what is more common and what is worse, as if it is a competition. I admit mocking that discussion, and was misunderstood by a usual suspect as a consequence. People love reading things that aren't there into things.

I'm mostly concerned that Boris promied a few weeks ago he'd stop these chumps being released without serving their full sentence, and here we have another one released early. I'd like to be able to trust Boris, but....

"He has been named as "knife-obsessed" convicted terrorist Sudesh Amman, who was released from his previous conviction after serving half his sentence."

WTAF? ???

Who has said that? You’re like a frustrated toddler.

“Mummy won’t let me choose a toy and the world is over and she hates me and I hate everything and waaaah”.

Nibble.

Since your mate Les left you've added absolutely nothing to this board.

You don't even follow the Albion.

Just **** off.

Get a grip soft lad.

Here’s a list of terrorist incidents in the U.K.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_terrorist_incidents_in_Great_Britain

From just the last five years...

Number of fatalities due to Muslim terrorists - 36

Number of fatalities due to far right terrorists - 2

That's quite a landslide and goes most of the way to explaining why some people's, me included, first thought will be 'that's a muzzie then' when news of these atrocities break unless it is made clear early on that it is in the vicinty of a Mosque.

Thankfully there is still only one fatality from yesterday. I hope it stays that way.

Did anyone catch this on the Radio 4 tonight? https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m000dpjf About the London Bridge attacker? Discussing everything this thread is discussing, but with facts? Really interesting / shocking.

Made me think, thank goodness there's no one on here who's rightly appalled at and posting about the state of the probation service and the prison service and the courts, and their inability to keep these people in jail, thank goodness no one here voted again for the same government that's been in power for ten years and have cut these service to the bone. I mean, why would anyone here do that? I mean, that'd be bonkers right? lol

*edit. 2nd para a bit ranty, but the radio prog was very informative.

did they mention he was released as thats the law? so need to change the law on early release, and handling terrorists at end sentence.

They did, exactly that. Last year an act went through parliament that stops the early release of prisoners convicted of types of terrorist offences (the Counter-Terrorism and Border Security Act 2019 if I may be so bold); Boris yesterday said that should now apply retrospectively which feels sensible but would be against the law in its current form. It will be challenged, but that's what Law is there for, to be challenged in order to make it stronger.

The programme also talked about govt studies implemented and whether those recommendations were implemented and if not why not; if deradicalisation can work and how.

It's a minefield. One, I think we all agree, we need to get through as soon as possible!

I checked a message by well-thick-noddy* when I suspected he'd posted a kind and considered reply to someone on a thread some weeks ago. It was kind and considered. So I unblocked him. Let bygones, etc. Been enjoying his posts ever since.

However his latest outburst of wet knickerism reminds me that there must have been a reason why I blocked him once. I have no idea what all that is about and can't be arsed (or asked) to cheque.

Anyway, I have a sore arse owing to a raging fire in my pants, so I'd best apply some oinkment now before it's two late.

*Only joshing

that's right H shut down /ignore anything you don't agree with or like ,sounds like the actions of the far left

Boris promised he'd change the law after the last but one outrage. But he decided it was more important to **** of to Mustique or wherever he spent Christmas than push through emergency legislation to deal with this clear and present danger. So now he's promising exactly the same thing.

I heard on the radio yesterday that Blair introduced a law that kept these madmen in gaol till deemed safe, but the tories rescinded it when the got in (Cameron, around 2012) because they decided it costed too much money.

Boris also vetod the original plan to put barriers along the main bridges in London when he was mayor as this would be aesthetically displeasing. The direct result was dead people.

Now, who is the friend of terrorism? You don't have to arrange meetings with the IRA to be a national security threat. Just being a tory government can be sufficient.

I make these points in partial rebuttal to the drivel that I wont read, but which is undoubtably drivel, posted by old droopy, above.

Come on Boris, get terrorism done!

Don't cut prison and probation service budgets.
Don't cut police budgets.
Don't cut security service budgets.
Don't drop out of European intelligence and security sharing arrangements.
Might help as well.

it hasn't helped but i'm sure they'll be more funding in the future
