Atmosphere Last Night

I know as always theres a million threads about last nights game, so apologies for starting a new one, but here we go.

Does anyone else think that for the last 20 minutes or so last night (after a couple of attacks), despite the dubious performance and attendance, the atmosphere last night was as good as its been at Withdean for quite a while now? Still not great, but better than usual.

Maybe its just where I was sitting, but I thought everyone got quite into it and made some noise, and thats before the equaliser.

it was good once the moaners and wilkins out brigade realised there was a football match to be won and got behind the team.

there was a lot of noise indeed, and after the equaliser it spurred the team on to keep attacking, and we got the 2nd goal!

I thought the same thing, lots of funny goings on in H, even the booing seemed pretty good natured.

I thought the atmosphere was great for the last 20 mins or so. I think it was mainly down to the fact that we got our revenge for the away game the other week.

Although it was the lowest league match attendance at the Withdean, there was a really big noise being made at the end.

Best thing is that it obviously spurred the team on to go and get the win!

The atmosphere was terrible. Really bad. Although last night was not the worst; the last ten minutes were quite exciting.

I only do away games and I rarely watch games at Withdean. Whilst going to away games I lose my voice after ten minutes. Withdean is particularly poor.

I can't really remember the Goldstone, but for those that do, was it loud and similar to the support given by the Brighton away fans of today?

I didnt start one "wlikins out" (not my words) chant.

The last 10 minutes was really good and boy after we scored did we have a go at the players for celebrating when they should have been back ready to search for the winner !

As a semi-regular in the North Stand I can't ever remember it being quiet, and even at Gillingham the roof helped make a small support sound loud at times.

The thing is, when people know their noise will be amplified and not just disappear into the sky, they will tend to make a noise and get a bit animated. You can see that at small grounds like Eastbourne's Priory Lane, where 10 or 12 fanatics can make more noise than the other 600 put together at times.
