The guy is a pratt. Season Ticket holders are putting money into the club, he isn't.

Oh and by the way, I'm a season ticket holder and I also find going to withdean depressing!!!!

We won't take that many.

I'm a season ticket and haven't applied yet , Will get one nearer the time.

Withdean doesn't depress me any more , it is what it is. Been a decade now so I think only in frequent visitors get really down about it.
The fact we are gash on the pitch is far more depressing

Why doesnt he just make a one off payment of £30 like i have done and many more to ensure he will get a ticket for all high profile games. Surely if he does go that reguarly away from home then thats a small price to pay to get to the likes of southampton away and any potential big guns away from home in the cup.

While we're on the subject of away memberships does the blue membership cover you until they next change the system or does it have to be renewd every season??

The poster on ATC does have a valid point , fans who go to away games spend a fortune following the team all over the country. They are indirectly making a contribution by being the "12th man" at these games. Lets hope when we get to Falmer all the membership schemes will be revamped to make it more fairer to the loyal fans. People however will still be moaning because the "Platinum" members will get first dibs at the tickets.

One would hope once Falmer is up and running the club can look into having a points scheme.

What is the point of any points scheme as I cannot see us selling out the away end at Southampton and we didn't even sell all our allocation at the play-off final.

The last time there was an issue was West Ham away and the club has changed the system to make it fairer to those that pay a large chunk of money up front.

He would if there wasn't an option.

But the 'Blue' membership for £30 does just that. Surely if he spends loads then that would be a drop in the ocean for a virtually guaranteed ticket.

The people that I know that do the most away games are STH.

Ok, I'll ask this question here. As a family we haven't been to an away game since Spurs in the Cup. However we're keen to go to the Saints game as my sister lives down there and her boyfriend is a Saints nut, so we wanted to make a weekend of it. We're not STHs and we're not in any membership schemes. As (extremely) casual away fans can we get tickets or do you have to be in one of the Membership schemes?

If the answer is 'no' I'll have to get my sister's boyfriend to get them for us, although that will obviously mean us sitting in the with the Scummers. Either that or we'll have to watch it on Sky at the Hedge End Social Club.

Oh and can I just point out that some casual fans put in far more money into the club than STHs. If I take all my lot to only five, full-priced home games a season I've paid just under £500 for tickets. I wish I'd never got them interested in football ...

I partially agree.

I casually attend Molineux (I have to get my football fix somehow!), and Wolves have a very fair policy.

1000 points for season ticket holders and everybody else gets 10 points for every game they attend (home or away). For the big matches, they have a 2 day space for people with 1000 points or more to book tickets and then they drop the points requirement every day until the tickets are on general sale. It works quite well.

Having said that. Brighton have a policy, which is well publicised. Fans know what they have to do in order to get tickets and that, in my opinion, is the main thing. I'm a white member because I don't get to that many games, however I apprieciate that if we draw Man Utd in the cup, I probably won't get a ticket.

Aren't the "loyal fans" the ones who ignore the fact that Withdean is a shithole and still buy a Season Ticket so there's still a club for the "super 12th man away fans" to follow away from home?

Yes, non-Withdean attending away fans may offer great support and they may well spend loads more than STH's but none of their money goes to our club (merchandise excepted) which is where it's been needed these last 12 years or more.

Which is the point. Away fans are great, but its us suckers who have forked out for a season ticket at Withdean that keep the club going.
