Yes. Didn't you see? Were you busy moaning to someone about Barnes and missed them?
It's quite weird seeing so many people criticise someone for not seeing Barnes get 2 assists, when he didn't get 2.

Goal 3: orlandi to lopez to orlandi

Goal 4: barnes to buckley to lopez
Ah, wondered who that was laying it off for Lopez.

Wasn't it Calderon to Upson?

Nope. Definitely Hammond (though SSN said it was Calderon), but the goals on goals express, which I've enjoyed a couple of times, show it was Hammond. There was a similar Hammond/Calderon onfusion in another game a few weeks back, possibly the Palace one...

He obviously tried his heart out today which was expected. I thought the supporters were fantastic to welcome him back without vocal criticism. It shows we need him as much as he needs us.

Yep, thanks, SSN have confused me.

Was it the Palace players that got confused?

Has there ever been a player this divisive? There are five Barnes threads on the first page of The Big Board as I speak.

i'm neither for or against Ashley, he s just one of the team. One point I would make is that today he showed discipline, didn't roll around on the floor, didn't complain to and at the referee and look what happened, with discipline comes success. Well done Ashley keep it up and score some more against some stearner opposition.

Barnes has a blinder as usual when played up front. My question is this: if we'd played him there all season until Ulloa arrived, would we have done better than with CMS?

I rate Barnes. Now he has had the final wake up call regarding his temper, I hope and expect him to 'grow up'.

He's a proven goal scorer, borne out by the goals he's scored under Gus, and it's great to have another striker back to augment Ulloa.

This.

Only one game, but the boy came good.

Scores goals, where Vokes, Sandaza, Paynter, Woods (during his Albion spell), Dobbie & Co, failed to.

As did Bridcutt and a couple of Spaniards. Then each of them realised the referee wasn't fooled, and 'gingerly' were back in the game within seconds.
