Quite a few suggestions here are from bands who basicall made one album (Pistols.....etc).

OK, I'll bite.

This link will take you through all the tracks.

Just how many albums mentioned are by bands with one album? I have no idea how many the Sex Pistols made btw, but what others?

Not being a Queen fan I am in no position to argue but I think plenty might disagree that their first was never bettered. There are loads of Queen fans on here.

Arcade Fire - Funeral
Funeral For a Friend - Casually Dressed & Deep In Conversation (Hours had its moments but not as good, personally)
The Killers - Hot Fuss
Arctic Monkeys - Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not
The Cooper Temple Clause - See This Through & Leave (and I really liked Kick Up The Fire....)
The Head & The Heart - s/t
Interpol - Turn On The Bright Lights
Kasabian - s/t
Kodaline - In A Perfect World

That's a few off the top of my head.

The Darkness - Permission to Land. " The saviours of rock "............... until the second album was utter gash and the music press that had hyped them so much then dropped them like a brick.

Gonna disagree with that

Mermaid Avenue with Wilco was the best thing he did...imo, but then I’m not a big fan of his

Agree; I don't like his solo vocal style, but the Woody Guthrie collaborations with Wilco were great.
