Gus tinkers with the players but very rarely with the formation itself, so to that end I'd say we are very similar in approach.

I read he was injured for 4 or 5 weeks now anyway.

And he came across as a complete cock on 6-0-6 a month or so ago. Did anyone hear him being accused of cheating by a caller (an amateur ref) and his consequent defence?

No, what happened?
A ref phoned up the show that Roberts was co-hosting and called him out for what was a deliberate dive, and said he was disgusted as that is what kids will think is acceptable because Roberts was doing it.

Roberts spluttered, got angry, still didn't really apologise. Then started whittering on about how he does loads for charity. :lolol:

Yes that was very embarrassing, the caller wasn't abusive or anything but said he coached young kids and asked what effect did he think his (Roberts) behavior (trying to get the ref to card an opponent) would have on the young kids. Roberts went mad and said "you don't see all the stuff I do for charity". Really cringeworthy, I didn't have anything against Roberts but that really made him look very petty.

He is injured for 5 weeks although they got a replacement on loan from Arsenal. He's the reason for Readings form and with him gone I see us powering to the Prem.

BBC - Paul Fletcher: Roberts relishes Reading's rise

Interesting to read the bit about their style of play. A contrast to us in that with Gus there is usually a fair bit of tinkering whereas with them it's pretty much 'as you were' every week.

Is that because they have a small squad or lack strength in depth though? Ours would be more predictable if it wasn't so big and full of players all at a similar good quality
