Finishing 3rd or 4th isn't good enough? Lol
They want to change their manager, so they can follow in the footsteps of Manure and Chelski

Really annoys me this 'Wenger Out' shite that Morgan etc rattle on about. Same with Chelsea and even worse Man Utd 'fans' getting in a hump this season. All those years of sucess and they throw a hissy fit at the first sign of the team going backwards. Not a clue how the real football world is. Plastic jokers. It's the lows that make the highs so enjoyable..

In fairness, I can actually understand Arsenals fans being pissed off. They pay the highest prices in the country, they've not had a sniff of winning the title in 12 years, they've bombed out of the CL at the last 16 stage about 8 years in a row now, and the whole culture there seems to be geared towards finishing 3rd/4th, which they achieve year in, year out...but to what end ?

Its always "jam tomorrow" there. The fans were told ambitions had to be put on hold while they financed and paid for their new 60,000-seater stadium which - they said - would then enable them to properly compete at the top table. They've been there 10 years now, and have a couple of FA Cups to show for it (beating Hull and Villa in the final...woop de do).

Compared with MOST clubs, that would be great of course. But Arsenal should be amongst the genuine elite in this country and in Europe, and yet they're still miles off. They have gazillions in the bank, but a manager who still largely insists on investing in unknown french and african kids. If they'd signed a top class striker and CB this season, they couldn't fail to be contenders. Instead, they're actually looking over their shoulders to scramble 4th, ahead of the most inept Man Utd teams in a generation.

I'd be getting macked off as well.

3 of their last games are against Norwich, Sunderland & Villa.

A la Hull the club should be wondering 'by how many points will we win the league'?

Just by beating Swansea and palace at home they'd now be level on points with Spurs.
Yet another wasted opportunity.

Unknown French and African kids? Ozil and mertasaker...both current German internationals. Girout French international, Sanchez, Wiltshire, cazola, oxlade camberlain, walcott...in fact look at the squad..they are all current internationals.

Arsenal were in with a chance this year, just having critical injuries that cost them.

It always amazes me how premiership supporters of top clubs bitch about their team. If only 99.9999% of the teams in the uk had that chance of having the best players in the world, the best stadiums and the pick of the best youngsters available!

In all fairness Arsenal fans have been pretty patient with Wenger, its a different situation to Chelski or Manure. Perhaps it is time for a change but it won't bring instant success, infact they could go backwards first.

So glad I support Albion, our good times are far better than the top teams as we've been through so much

Ozil and Cech are the only truly WORLD CLASS signings Arsenal have made in recent seasons. Sanchez at a push. Giroud is not, and will never be a world class striker, and the rest of them are good but not great - that's what separates Arsenal from the elite. That's why they don't win, or even challenge for the major trophies. They certainly have the money, but not the will. Their squad is stuffed full of "good, but not great". With the odd exception, its all they ever sign.

Wenger likes plucking players from obscurity on the cheap and moulding them into stars, but its a long time since he's managed that. This season, of all seasons, was a MASSIVE chance for Arsenal to push on and win the PL. Chelsea, Man U and Man City have been bobbins all season. They'll never have had a better chance. So who did Wenger sign in January to bolster their title challenge ? To excite the fans ? To inspire the team and help drive them towards a proper challenge at the top ?

Mohamed Elneny.

And now they're 10 points adrift. Of Leicester. Yup, if I was an Arsenal fan, I'd be mightily pissed off right now as well.

I have some very good Arsenal supprting friends and they all want Wenger out, and for good reason. They will never win the title under his stewardship, despite having plenty of money to spend, charging the most rip-off prices in the league the club appears to have no greater ambition to do anything other than finish in the top four. Every season it's the same, start reasonably well, pick up a few long-term injuries, fade away and then win a few games at the end to meet their rather modest aim of Champions League qualification. As a team they are mentally and physically weak and underachieve massive;y. Would I pay over a grand a year to watch that? I probably would not.

So Sanchez and Santi Corzola are not world class? Blimey

Decent (I said Sanchez at a push), but often injured anyway. And they never invest in the squad to adequately cover them.

If Sanchez is crocked, which he has been for long spells, their forwards are: Giroud, Walcott, Welbeck, Campbell and Reine Adelaide. Welbeck is good, but has spent half the season crocked, Walcott is hardly Mr Fitness and when he IS playing he's a long way from being a top class finisher. Campbell is ok but raw. The last bloke, to be honest, I've never heard of. That is a bang average set of forwards when - considering the resources available there - is nowhere near good enough.

Look, we can argue the toss about the quality of various players, but the proof is in the pudding. If Arsenal were any good, then they would be (a) actually INVOLVED in a title race, which they haven't for about 10 years (they've finished 4,4,3,4,3,4,3,4,4,3 and always MILES off the pace). and (b) making the latter stages of the Champions League. They haven't even made it past the last 16 since 2010.

For a club of the size and resources of Arsenal, they have been abject failures both domestically and in Europe for the best part of a decade now. That stadium was supposed to make them compete with the best (once it was paid off), but its done nothing of the sort. They've gradually gone backwards, while the prices have gradually gone up. Everything there has regressed, except for the bank balance.

Spot on, good summary.

They usually string a few wins together at the arse end of the season, once they're out of the title race (again) and the pressure is off. Wenger is already on record as stating that making the top 4 is like winning a trophy. That's the culture there, that really is all that matters. Which is all fine and dandy for the bean counters. But winning things isn't a priority at Arsenal, its not the focus - tts just a bonus. 2nd/3rd/4th is all they're really bothered about.
