What an arrogant arse.
I hope they fail miserably this season, more so than I did last.

Have felt that way ever since they started treating Ranieri like a piece of shit on the floor. It's a shame were set to lose him to La Liga with Valencia as his interviews are top class and he is a top, top man!!!

already said he wants a squad of just 21 players and 2 (maybe 3) keepers, current squad is 35 outfield players and *6* goalies, I can see a few other Prem teams rubbing their hands at possible summer signings. Already Gronkjaer (sp?) has been linked with someone and I think he could do a half-decent job at another club

Mourinho is one of those managers who seems to have an effortless authority about him. I get the impression he won't take shit from above or below at Chelsea - I think, given time, he will bring them success. Whether he gets that time is another question.

What IS f***ing ridiculous is that 3 months ago Chelsea splashed out £12m to secure Arjen Robben from PSV in the summer. Will Mourinho even want him ? Its exactly this kind of transfer activity over the head of the coach that will piss off the likes of Mourinho.

Chelsea are like the kids in the sweetshop with a tenner. See something shiny and buy it, whether you want it, need it or not. They've already been stung with signing the likes of Veron, Crespo and Geremi - high-profile expensive rubbish. Hopefully Mourinho will bring some sanity and stability to the club, as they have some important englishmen there who need to flourish within a stable team competing in Europe, so they can learn and perform for England.

Watching the Sky News Bulletins earlier Easy they mentioned that he's a Manager not just a coach, one thing he wanted was a "family relationship" right from Roman down to the players. He knows what happened behind Claudio's back and he said he does'nt want that at all and told Kenyon/Roman exactly that. In that you can add the player signings, I'm sure he will have alot more power than Claudio did.

I hope thats the case then Crabbers. I'm no fan of Chelsea, but I happen to think they've got one of the best centre-backs (Terry) the best full-backs (Johnson/Bridge) and the best midfielders (Lampard) in England, and we NEED them to benefit from a skillful and authoritive coach.

And no, I havn't forgotton Joe Cole. I just think he's almost more overrated than Kieran Dyer.

dont agree with Johnson...yet! yeah he has potential but I cant see him doing anygood at Chelsea for some reason, but yeah despite the overwhelming amount of foriegn talent we have got some great English prospects in there.

Nothing much seems to excite or amuse him. He couldn't get off the podium quick enough after the Champions League presentation and looked like a more depressed version of Jack Dee rather than someone who had just achieved the pinnacle of European Club football success.

Ranieri was never Abramovich's man. From the moment the stinking rich Russian walked through the door, he's clearly been itching to appoint his own man to run the team, so as to bask in the reflected glory when that man brings success to Chelsea.

Under Ranieri, year on year, Chelsea were steadily progressing. Were he left alone to fine-tune the squad he had, instead of being put under pressure to splash the limitless millions on garbage like Crespo and Mutu, I think he would have delivered a major trophy within 2 or 3 years. That chance has now gone.

Sacking Ranieri has put Chelsea back 2 years I'd say. They now have a new coach who will take time to adjust to the Premiership and to learn what kind of players he needs to succeed in the English top flight, which IS uniquely different from the continental leagues. From his track record, he clearly knows what he is doing, and left alone to do the job I think he'll do it.

But it ain't going to be the instant ticket to success that the likes of Abramovich and Kenyon are looking for.

i have to agree about johnson easy have been very impressed eith him time and time again this season no more so than when i saw him play centre half for the u21's earlier in the season definate england regular very soon and if he is fit(not sure) i would have had him in the squad for the euro's instead of phil neville
