I didn't think that a corporate entity (ie the Argus) could be defamed, any lawyers with time in their busy day to read this board and let us know?
But the Argus IS a local rag !!!! The news it publishes is often factually incorrect, poor or irrelevant or all three.

Yes, a corporate entity certainly can be defamed under our libel laws. The laws are currently in the process of being changed, but this won't remove a corporations right to sue. It will (hopefully) introduce a public interest and fair comment defence...
There already is a defence of fair comment and in the public interest?
