Agree with the first two. Personally rather give Aaron Davies a start over Navarro but I reckon Slade will play Thornhill.

Not only make him Capt., i'd try him at Centre Back alongside Tunnicliffe, i reckon he'd do a job there and i'd have more confidence in him there than Virgo or Elphick.

Drop the diamond formation! It's so ineffective and predictable when we only have width on one side, and are constantly having to rely on Bennett to get to the byline (which in fairness to him, he does alot). Thornhill and Navarro should be nowhere team anyway, let alone in the 'attacking' role that they seem to be put in. Bring in Aaron Davies and go with the more orthodox 4-4-2 and you've got a decent partnership of wingers with pace and skill.

Livermore at left back maybe? Must be better than El-Abd and I still maintain he is the most underrated player at the club. Smith for Kuipers and Tunnicliffe for Virgo has to happen and I would play Davies down the left instead of having no outlet on the left which leaves us reliant on Bennett to do everything.

I would rather Hoyte at left back than El-Abd, and Virgo can be solid enough at right back without disgracing himself too much against Andy Monkhouse. I know dropping Crofts won't happen, but I don't see what he gives us. Alot of industry commitment and hardwork, maybe, but I think he's contributing to our faults as a team right now because I don't think we can afford a luxury like him alongside Dicker, personally I think it's got to be either Dicker or Crofts, and I prefer Dicker. We need to have a more attack minded player in the centre and I thought Thornhill did a cracking job at Orient in the JPT and think he would be a very wise selection in the centre. Craig Davies alongside Murray is very chalk and cheese, one is all hard work and effort and the other isn't... I like that. Plus it gives us a physical presence up front that Dickinson just can't.

I would start with that team the only possible doubt is whether to bring in Davies or Cox on the left.
