Argus interview with Gus

Read the interview in yesterdays argus. Im at a loss to believe that any true Brighton fan could even possibly start to doubt our mananger. He has got this club trying to play decent football. He recognises that if the current crop cannot play the way he wants then he'll find quality replacements who can. I dont actually believe there is such a thing as "we have been found out". Thats just garbage! The only problem we have is that not all personnel asked to play this way actually can. Once we get the extra quality, Gus knows we need, then i personally think that a quicker passing game will allow us to destroy some teams in this league.
Its good times to be a Brighton fan and people are far to quick to dismiss our tactics and believe that were on a spiral out of this league. No chance! It might take a while to get the right players in but im backing the management 110% to get it right.

If Gus gets the backing to bring in players to replace those unable to play as he wants I'd agree 100%. If we don't continue to bring in better players we will struggle this season imo but I'm sure TB will back Gus within reason.

We just need to be patient.

I think people forget he is an inexperienced manager and he is still learning too. It took him a season to get to grips with league one, but looked what happened once he saw what was required? Consolidate this seasons, bring in a few more players of the right quality, with all due respect to the current crop, and we'll be fine.

I'm not sure that there are too many doubting the way Gus wants to play but there are loads that are saying we need 2/3 more accomplished players and if that's what Gus is saying then the vast majority are in agreement I think. There's certainly differences of opinion on who the players are that need switching out but I hope the changes are made sooner rather than later, although realistically that won't happen till January unless he can find a couple more loan to buy types

I've got no doubts that Gus knows what he's doing and obviously the board think the same as well otherwise him and Tanno would'nt have been given new contracts, The only problem we've got is too many impatient fans with the "Results Now" mentality rather than appreciating what Gus is trying to build here. He said right from the start it's about giving the players a chance and seeing where we're at and it was only fair that a lot of last seasons players that took us up were given that chance but now 13 games into the season he's identified area's that need strengthening and he's doing it and look at some of the quality we've got here now. It's only a matter of time before results turn back in our favour again then hopefully all the moaners will crawl back under they're stones and let the rest of us get on with enjoying the football.

Whilst I have personally criticised some of our current crop, patience is paramount in finding the right squad players, time to gel, then the results will come. I have no doubt about that. It may well be that it wont happen for another season yet, but all good things come to those who wait. The stadium is a good example.

Fully in support of Gus and his footballing vision for our club here, it's not the system that is wrong it's unfortaunte that some of the players are simply not upto playing that way at this level. They are fantastic league 1 players and more than capable at the lower end of the Championship but that's not where the club wants to be. Gus knows this and TB knows this and I am sure more changes will be made in the same way we've got Jara Reyes and Harper in. Rome wasn't built in a day and our club is still at the start of what is going to be fantastic transformation.

Sounds a bit pathetic to me personally. If he cant take criticism then his going to struggle as a manager.
