A bit of a conspiracy theory for you, hypothetically speaking like

Are we ‘chucking’ this season?

A few too many late winners against us, not to mention own goals, abysmal defending in front of goal at the fag end of games we were dominating and not much happening up front, yet we can still beat Man. City in the League Cup and get to the Area Final of the Paint Pot?

This with much of last season’s squad that finished seventh and a manager who when last with us got us back-to-back promotions?

And with the current climate of firing underachieving managers in less precarious positions, no sign that Adams is on his way out?

A bit too pat for me

But there is a plus in this theory, in that there is method in the madness

If we get relegated to League 2 for next season, being the 2009-10 season, we can miraculously piss the Division, bringing the crowds back and go into League 1 for the 2010-11 season, and again piss the Division, again bringing the crowds back, leaving us to go into The Championship for our inaugural season at Falmer, 2011-12, on a massive wave of optimism

Now there’s a thought

It is precisely what the Dons did, and their fans were saying exactly the same.

it does happen.

a reasonable conspiracy theory except for one thing.......a combined DK, MA, KB, DW, MH, BB and not least the players would surely have Fu**ed it up

far to obvious, I think we,ve either made a pact with the devil & our first game at falmer will be against premiership leaders Crystal Palace ,who we will give a tidy thrashing thus creating the necessary wave of confidence that we will ride all the way to the champions league.........or we are just shit.

My point is that the complete ensemble are SO good, they can make themselves look total shite one minute and the next two seasons will pan out as described! Bingo!

I'm sorry but that is ridiculous. To say that Adams would say to Hinshelwood or the Hawk 'Go on, go and score an own goal', and them agree is ridiculous. Can you imagine people agreeing to throwing a whole season let alone one match?

You are delerious, just face it, we are SHIT.

It is ridiculous to think that Hawkins could bullet a diving header into his own net with such accuracy on purpose.

As pluasable as it is, it cannot be true. Imagine the fall out if it was to get out.

Having now read the other posts on this thread, it's clear that the only reason for the thread at all - is that we are so completely and utterly DIRE and EFFING SHIT that anyone could be excused for thinking it's un-effing-believable, so bad it must be a ploy.

That's how far we have fallen, that's how shit The Albion really are with Adams.

Knight's marketing background would tell him that the first priority is not to lose the customers you already have. The response to this season from even the most diehard fans would indicate that a number of previously loyal fans may quit supporting the club and may take some enticing back.
