Just a thought that if capacity is reduced to 18K for chelski visit on 4th Aug will the seats all be ready in the next two weeks..... just wondering.

You do know that July comes before August don't you?

I guess so. I get the impression this Chelsea game was a last minute arrangement i.e. the club were not scheduling a game for this weekend due to the lack of seats but then Chelsea came along.

Maybe they are only selling 18k tickets at the moment because the seats MAY not be in. If they are in a week before then more tickets may be released?

errr yes - but 4th August is only 2 weeks before the start of the season so wondering why the capacity would only be 18k at that stage...

Could be why we asked for an away game 1st up - and with the Swindon game away as well, our 1st home match isn't until Tuesday Aug 21st.

Seems odd that the new seats will be off limits on the 4th, but its probably to do with something boring like getting the safety certificate in place from the council, or somesuch.

I t could be that although the job may be near finished, builders will still be on site and so certain areas, and access to them,, will be off limits. Better to be cautios now thanpanic later.

Looked like upper level on the East Stand was largely in place when I was there tonight. Seats to go in then Bob's your uncle.

But possibly not that simple. :dunce:
