I got the impression you were something of a foodie. Disposables are for cooking value line sausages and burgers. If you won't a simple portable barbie you need one of these

I don't bbq at home enough to warrant one of them. It's more fun in the park (don't tell the WARDEN) or down the beach innert. Some of the big disposable ones get a surprising amount of heat up nowadays anyway.

You could get one of those little portable ones for about a tenner from Sainos or B & Q. Won't burn stuff in seconds and it's a bit kinder to the environment (obviously not that kind though, you're still burning stuff)

the one in the picture folds flat and fits in a laptop style bag, you just sling it on your shoulder and go - okay you still need to get the charcoal and wait for it to cool down afterwards, before you can pack it away again.

quick bit of advice

there is a fairly large "balcony" (fire escape) outside my bedroom window.......if i had a bbq on here (disposable) will it just make my room all SMOKEY?

(the "balcony" doesn't look really safe enough for many people to stand on, so i was thinking we could COOK outside and EAT inside)

cos otherwise i'll just head down hove beach (don't tell the WARDEN)
