Worthing
I would detail the situation but I am acutely aware that as a local company their could be any number of employees reading this very board right now and I'd rather not let this spill out in public.

I take it you're a tenant rather than a landlord?

Can you not at least give us a clue as to what the problem might be, otherwise I can see little point in you sharing your views with us. It's a bit of unsupported sensationalism at the moment, but could easily be put into perspective, surely, with a few basic facts.

Have you ever considered it's YOU with the problem and not the agents?

Obviously don't know what his problems are but I think it is generally a well accepted fact that there are problem Letting agents out there. I once had one that would not sort out a very major problem and told me the Landlord lived abroad.

I knew someone who knew the landlady and she let me know that she doesn't live abroad but very close by. That sort of behaviour makes people distrust Letting agents, wouldn't you agree?

However, retracting my earlier "they are all wankers" statement I would say that theer are some relaible ones out there.

Very funny Leslie. Your 3 grand theory doesn't quite add up though does it?

Your ex makes £13,000 a year as a cheack out supervisor at Somerfield and you make £2,000 (if you can class benefits as earnings). I would say it holds up.

when my bed broke (sorry - no humorous story attached) the letting agent turned to me when I asked for a replacement and said no as it was possible that i had deliberately stamped on it to snap the frame.

now why the f*** would i do that?!?!?

I can't say I hate them all - only the ones that i have ever hads dealings with.

My ex also suppliments her icome at Somerfields by test flying sonic jets for NASA and I am a highly succesful pantomine actor. In fact I have just finished a run at the Swindon recreational centre as Widow Twanky, netting me enough to take a well deserved break in a travellers commune just off the B24 in Leatherhead.

My ex also suppliments her icome at Somerfields by working part-time at Flaps nudie bar. I also gain valuable cash in hand employment as a Jizz Mopper at the very same club. I suppliment this by performaing massages out the back for unsuspecting and blind folded customers. This has net me enough to buy some stone cladding for our 2 bed and a 4 pack of Jaguar larger.

I was just getting something off my chest.

I'm not going into specifics so feel free to shoot me down over my argument that all Letting Agents are cut from the same cloth of scum. It's funny how few people are disagreeing though.

It can be incredibly frustrating when dealing with problem agents (as I'm sure it can for them dealing with problem tenatnts) This is why you have to cover your arse at all times. You should have got them to sign something saying how old each piece of furniture in the building was, what repair it was in etc, take photos if need be. It may seem trivialat the time but it can make all the differance later on.

Photos and signed documents / inventory's will get you out of most trouble with agents.
