Their gig at Hyde Park is currently being broadcast on Absolute Radio extra. So far they've played:

Ready To Start
Wake Up

Now playing 'No Cars Go'.

Likewise brilliant! But what a build up Mumfords and Beirut to warm up, and for only just over £40 what a steal!

I went there last night, Arcade Fire blew Mumford out of the water. Just the most amazing band live!

This.

The only snag with Beirut's set was that they appeared to have quite a few sound difficulties - thought it was very noble of Mumford & Sons to call them "hugely influential" during their mid-set thank-yous too.

As for Arcade Fire, they were simply out of this world and played a set that reflected all of their albums, rather than just The Suburbs. Wake Up and the new bonus track, Speaking In Tongues, were particular highlights for me

I was there too, what a great show.

Though did anyone else feel the acoustics were crap? They sounded to quiet early on, I could barely hear the band over the chit chat of the people around me, and I wasn't that far from the band, well in front of the sound stage.

We moved further back an it got better. There was loads of chitchat in the crowd, we had to move away from a couple arguing, then another group of girls with back to stage having a good gossip. Why pay £60 to miss the acts?

Yep, the whole gig was much, much too quiet. First time I'd been to a gig at Hyde Park and I wasn't impressed with it at all. Too many dickheads in the crowd too; seemed to me a sizable proportion had come to see Mumford & Sons and then, as you say, chatted all through Arcade Fire.

Arcade Fire are an immense live band and played a great set but, though no fault of theirs, for me yesterday's gig was only average.

I spoke to a guy on the T-shirt stall, and he said the crowd was much better than for Kings of Leon last week. Stacks of pissheads who cleared off half way into the gig.

If people just want to yak and drink, why don't they just get some tinnies and stay in the park :annoyed:[

Mm there were a few dicks about. This couple in front of me argued for ten minutes through the Arcade Fire set, one went on the phone for 20 minutes, elbowing me in the groin numerous times before allowing his friend onto his shoulders right in front of us  Luckily she pissed off to the toilet and never came back. Great time though
