I'd previously only seen the report quoting the ages of those arrested but I must say, the first name that sprung to mind was 'Arry.

Think he can kiss goodbye to any hopes of getting the England job now, whether he ends up being charged with anything or not. There's always been that slightly dodgy air about him.

Pompey shyster

Exactly what was written about him in the book Broken Dreams. The next will be Big Sam. It is widely alleged within football that they are the most crooked of all of the managers, it didnt Lord Stevens to investigate it and get paid a fortune, just ask around and listen.

They've just said on the news that this is entirely unrelated to the Stephens enquiry.

Surely they're not suggesting that dodgy old 'arry could possibly be involved in another shady deal, are they?

How very dare they:lolol:

In the book the author catergorically states that Harry Redknap has never bought or sold a player unless he has personally been given at least £100k for the deal.

When at West Ham he bought and sold 31 players, I think it was.

I was also told that at a charity auction earlier in the year Sam Allardyce outbid everybody present to buy Bentley.

To be fair, even a conservative estimate would put him on at least a million a year at Pompey (they pay Sol Campbell somewhere around £50,000 per week, FFS) plus bonuses for each win and every time he mentions the phrases "bare bones", "threadbare squad" or "I pulled off a miracle at this club".

With regard to the Sandbanks address, I have a feeling he bought that back in the early Eighties, when he was Bournemouth manager and the area was inhabited by only a few eccentrics and some camping Boy Scouts. Firstly, house prices then were miniscule compared to now, and secondly, I doubt even Arfur Daley Redknapp could pull off backhanders to the value of £100,000 a time when he was in charge at Dean Court.
