With reference to the thread concerning the money from Cardiff Play Off.

I would like to say that this rumour was posted in good faith for the benefit of all supporters whilst being under the impression that it was from a reliable souce.

The club through one of their agents have catergorically denied the content of the rumour and as such I am prepared to accept that on this occassion I may have been misinformed.

At no time did I cast doubt on the honesty or integrity of any individuals.

I would like to add that if this rumour has caused offense or embarrasement to any persons connected with, associated with or supporter of Brighton & Hove Albion FC then please accept this as my most profuse apology.

Ahh ... it's hugs and kisses all round :D

Fair play though, it takes some guts to apologise after recent happenings.

Leave it out you've nearly got me in tears. You were Sh*t stirring trying to make a name for yourself and were lucky not to be sued.

Yes that's a good gesture. And I also apologise for getting quite so cross and personal about your motives for posting the rumour in the first place.

:)
I'll second that. As I said on another post we've now got a forum to question the club so hopefully all rumors can be squashed there.

Apology accepted.

Everybody was entitled to be upset about it, so there is no reason for anybody else to apologise to BG or anybody else for that matter.

This is completely untrue. It is often possible to trace the origin of the message back to a specific physical computer, through the ISP and website which log IP addresses - and to trace the access of a particular user to a specific web-site.

It's rather like the car caught by a speed camera, and claiming it wasn't you driving - you would have to have a very good case to prove it wasn't you, using your own computer, in your own home, rather than just say so.

Welcome Back Matey! I thought they were being nasty anyway! You were only trying to notify us of a rumour that you heard. :clap2:

Good man, now, far more importantly, apologise for your criticism of Cullip's form :D

I will do when it improves.

welcome back BG. Cullip has been an excellent player for Albion but BG is right that his form in the championship has not been great - at fault for Readings first goal (missed header), own goal v. Plymouth, his missed header led to Coventrys goal. He stood out in Div 2 but at this level his mistakes are punished. To be fair he had a decent game at Leicester so hopefully form is getting better.
