Anyone use their PS2 online?

Just wondering how to set mine (Ps2 slimline) up for online gameplay. All the online tutorials seem complicated.

I'm told though that I can get a 'crossover cable' which easily connects the PS2 to the web.

Is that right?

So i can't just transfer my internet connection via my laptop over to the PS2, i have to connect it via the router.
