If anyone is staying up in Newcastle on Sunday after the game and has time to spare, I am screening my music documentary feature at Tyneside Cinema in the afternoon.
Full details here: https://www.somethingleftbehind.com/screenings
Or if you know any natives up there, please spread the word. This is a bit of a last-minute independent screening before the main film festival appearances in November.
Pure coincidence that it just happens to mean I can got to St. James Park as well.
I had mentioned the film on here before, but in short...
Something Left Behind is a film about the “greatest break-up album of all time”. Exploring music, obsession, love & loss over the 30 year lifespan of The Wedding Present’s debut LP.
Includes contributions from someone who played on the record and is an Albion season ticket holder. Plus a look around John Peel's house and incredible collection of LP's, as he was a huge supporter of the band. That was actually one of the very last things I filmed for it back in January.
