Rescued Aldershot as a teenager with £200,000 that wasn't his, and ended up in H M P Ford as a result.

Went to watch Worthing at Farnborough last night and it turns out 'young' Spencer now 51 has reverted to his Mum's maiden name, Day, and has been both owner and manager of Farnborough for the last 12 years.

Which just goes to show, its never too late to mend.

If you are going to take over Aldershot and eventually decide on Farnborough it's hardly surprising he changed his name.

Bit of needle in the old divisions with that fixture.

I seem to remember him being on the Terry Wogan chat show. He has got Farnborough going well in National South.
