Found an old pack of photos, I can’t ask you to enjoy them, just remember your hatred for Archer and Bellotti.
This was the last time I ever went there. drove past it, etc. .

Who were Coxy and Duffy?

Thought this was going to be about Alan Duffy; the ultimate cult hero. "Alan aggro!"

a galaxy far far away
Those pics are wrong. Horrible to look at.

I'll swore I would never set foot there. I live right round the corner and have stuck to it this far

There’s a Coxy from Lindfield who went home and away in the 90s.
Pretty sure I’ve seen him regularly since then as well.
No idea who Duffy was/is tho.

Perhaps Big Shane was a closet Albion fan as a little boy in Derry and made secret trips over to the Goldstone.

No probably not.

Back in the war years we knew most fans by name (or nickname)!

I knew them both very well went on plenty of away trips with them mid 80s to early 90s

Coxy was from Wivelsfield Green and Duffy was from Burgess Hill

Last time I knew they were both cabbies in Burgess Hill and I reckon they’re probably both still there and still going to the games

Coxy was”working” for a very small radio station reporting from games but not sure which one

I’ve probably got a photo of them somewhere

I remember that game very well. A pal of mine was the part time secretary of the Cobblers at that time and I got to sit in the Director's box (such as it was) just behind Barry Lloyd, for some of the game. I also spoke to one David Pleat in the hospitality after the game. As I recall, Northampton scored in the 90th minute and Armstrong replied with the last kick of the match.

Hi Sheebo.

Wonder what Fatboy, Chappers, Filthy, Poke etc are up to, and all the others who's names escape me.
