It's all a bit hazy, but I remember some bloke called Hannigan? Absolute nutter. Remember him starting 'we are Brighton' in an away game from the home section(in the days when there was little or no segregation). Needless to say it all kicked off big time- Gillingham? Vaguely remember them singing 'we're the Rainham'- Hate to say it though because I was young and impressionable, I was well impressed. But now....... It's not big and it's not clever. Happy days

funniest thing about this thread is the fact that if we all met up now we would need old photos to recognize each other.
I don't see any of them any more and probably wouldn't recognize any of them if i stood next to them at the amex lol

i've pointed certain people out to my boys but they just laugh that these middle aged geezers were once raving nutters,in a way its good to see them enjoying footie for the right reasons:thumbsup:

Bosun where around when away fans were located in that end, rotheram, swindon and mansfield come to mind but after the north east away section was created it was mainly worthing, lancing and mid sussex chaps in the south:moo:

Lancing
I must know you as I used to live in Lancing, go in the South Stand (SSRA!) and used to go to away games on coaches which were largely the Crabtree from Lancing and Clifton from Worthing. The Bosun were a separate lot IIRC. Can't remember the name of the guy who organised it but a bloke called Norris was involved. I'm not going to say any names on here, but whatever happened to Will Pavey?

Ye said this before i must know you Ian Norris was one involved in running the coaches and Cyril the driver with one finger missing Will Davey I met again in the east stand bar this year I didn't recognise him but he came straight up to me lucky bastard retired and living on IOW
