"j" loved itIt's all a bit hazy, but I remember some bloke called Hannigan? Absolute nutter. Remember him starting 'we are Brighton' in an away game from the home section(in the days when there was little or no segregation). Needless to say it all kicked off big time- Gillingham? Vaguely remember them singing 'we're the Rainham'- Hate to say it though because I was young and impressionable, I was well impressed. But now....... It's not big and it's not clever. Happy days
I RECALL THOSE DAYS WE HAD THE THE AWAY END HALF THE HOME END AND A FEW IN THEIR HALF OF THE HOME END! WE ALL COME FROM MEDWAY TOWNS LA LA LA LA THANK GOD AND ALL SEATER STADIA THAT ITS ALL IN THE PASTIt's all a bit hazy, but I remember some bloke called Hannigan? Absolute nutter. You did well at the service station one man alone holding back the axe WAVING icf,CRAZY DAYS MATE C U TUESDAY
funniest thing about this thread is the fact that if we all met up now we would need old photos to recognize each other.
I don't see any of them any more and probably wouldn't recognize any of them if i stood next to them at the amex lol
before my time but heard about a local street fighter in the ranks, blonde hair ??
i've pointed certain people out to my boys but they just laugh that these middle aged geezers were once raving nutters,in a way its good to see them enjoying footie for the right reasons
yep, that's the one rev game as the come ,remember him holding it all together when the cockney reds were in the north
i remeber a guy called Ted Arnold cant remeber any of the other south stand names although i do remember a mick jaslick from the north stand ,what was the game they made the north stand take there boots off before we where allowed in
Bosun where around when away fans were located in that end, rotheram, swindon and mansfield come to mind but after the north east away section was created it was mainly worthing, lancing and mid sussex chaps in the south
Arsenal, 1st game of the season. 1st game in the top flight. Lost 4-0
I must know you as I used to live in Lancing, go in the South Stand (SSRA!) and used to go to away games on coaches which were largely the Crabtree from Lancing and Clifton from Worthing. The Bosun were a separate lot IIRC. Can't remember the name of the guy who organised it but a bloke called Norris was involved. I'm not going to say any names on here, but whatever happened to Will Pavey?
