Looking for a trustworthy accountant to help me out of a predicament with my small business as my usual one has gone AWOL.

Anyone know of any?

Cheers.

I have used http://www.csi-services.co.uk/ before - she has a lot of experience, has always been very quick and efficient and doing my tax return and general bits. Reasonable rates. Think she is based Hassocks ish way.

I'd avoid Tim Catt. The man's an idiot. (Allegedly)

Ask for David Varney at John A Tuffin & Co. He's a seagull and that's good enough for me.

Withdean area
Cardens Accountants

Large enough to give consistent service and won't go "AWOL"
Give fixed quotes up front
Great service

Avoid Wilson Sandford, shafted me for £6,000 to do EOY accounts after saying it would be around £1,500

This. Good advice.

And always get a fixed quote beforehand to include all company/unincorporated business accounts and tax returns etc.

Thanks for all the recommendations. I don't know what I would do without NSC.
