If so would you recommend it ? Looking at a Mazda 6 TS2 Diesel On an 04 plate. I don't really know an awful lot about Mazda's but they seem to get quite good reviews and this one has got a really good spec.

Any pointers greatly received.

My boss had one as his company car and in the 3 years he had it absolutely nothing went wrong. he would have had another straight away but they took it off the list.

Borrowed it once to go and collect something was really comfy lovely ride and i am 6'5" so loads of room. Apparently the back can be a bit cramped with 3 adults in but that was his only gripe:thumbsup:

Mazda 6 is one of the best cars in it's class 'let down' only by not having a prestige badge. I owned a Mazda 626 Turbo in the US and that went like stink.

I have a Maxda CX7 which has been described as a Mazda 6 on STILTS. Great car that goes like shit off a shovel. Not sure if they're sold in the UK though!

I test drove the Mazda 6 diesel on an 05 plate when I was looking to get my last car. I really liked it but I went for the Honda Accord diesel as it was just that bit better overall.

The Honda, like the Toyota we've had for 10 years, has been absolutely superb with no problems at all. Overall you don't seem to go too far wrong with a Japanese car these days.

It was a traditional NSC reply. like FIXTURES or YES, YES IT IS or MARVELOUS SCENES. When you've been on here for a little while you'll notice these things.

You plum I think you'll find I joined a month earlier than you and No I don't think it's the same as FIXTURES. What I do think is you need to get a life and judging by your post count get out a bit more. If all you find to do is write such witty replies to an honest question then I feel very, VERY sorry for you.

Oh and by the way thats the first time I have ever seen you write more than one line

My old man has a Mazda 6. He has owned various versions of Mazda 626s (the predecessor to the Mazda 6) since 1992. He has never had a problem with any of them, ever. Always a pleasure to drive and a good looking car to boot.

I'm thinking of getting a Mazda 2 or 3.

I have a Mazda 3 Sport 2006 and I love it, never had any problems with anything. If you go for the top of the range 3 or 6 you get the Bose sound system.

I've had a couple of Mazda 6's (both TS2, one diesel and one petrol), and absolutely loved the car.

I had the diesel one for 3 years, and only had one very minor problem. the engine detected a fault and cut the revs so that I gently slowed to a stop to prevent the problem worsening and causing more damage. It was a warning system, I could turn the engine off, restart and safely get to a garage. How clever is that?!

Other than that, absolutely nothing required it to ever go to the garage. Good performance, would pull away a treat, handled very well, and you just had complete faith in it's reliability.

The only reason I had the 2nd one for such a short time was that I changed jobs .... would have gone Mazda 6 again, but was given a bigger budget for a car in my new job, and to be honest, why pick a supremely reliable car when the maintenance bills are not paid by yourself.

But next time I'm buying my own car rather than having a company car roll up on teh drive, I will be heading straight for the Mazda dealership.
