I've got one. I won't post the answer here because it would be nice to get a set of CHALLENGING puzzles together.

You have a a set of scales and 12 marbles. You know that one of the marbles is a different weight to the other eleven, but you don't know whether it's lighter or heavier.

How do you find the odd marble, with only THREE weighings?

Anyone got any others?

Perhaps we could do a "Puzzle Answers" thread if the need arises.

I'll start with an easy one

A man threw a ball out of his window, it came back through and he caught it.
The ball didnt touch anything from the moment it left his hand, until he caught it again - how come?
was it one of those very lightweight plastic balls and a strong gust of wind blew it back in...?

It was on a piece of elastic?

A bus driver goes the wrong way down a one-way street. An on-duty traffic policeman sees him and smiles but does nothing. Why?

Was the window a skylight in his roof?

A lady gives birth to two daughters on the same day of the same year but they are not twins, how can this be?

and are they scales which tell you the weight of things or balances that compare the weight on either side?

Way out west
A man walks into an l-shaped room in complete darkness, by the door there is a switch with three buttons on it, each one operates a light around the corner from where he stands. He needs to know which light is operated by which switch, unfortunately he cannot see them from where he is stood by the door, as they are around the corner. He may operate the light switches and then go to look at the lights, once he has gone round the corner he may not return, how does he decide which switch operates which light.

If it's an L shaped room he doesn't need to go around the corner to look at the lights
