My missus just got one. She loves it. The quick look I've had - its pretty Damn good, quick, brilliant screen and responsive. I've got the hero which is alright, but from what I've seen, the desire is a MAJOR improvement. She watches BBC iplayer on it a fair bit, and says the image is excellent.

I'm looking at getting a Desire, but can't settle on a deal. Vodafone do £35 a month for 500mb Internet usage a month plus a load of mins/texts for 18 months.

Is 500mb enough? I've no idea how quickly I'd use that. I don't plan on doing too much other than a quick browse a few times a day. Any help much appreciated!

Beautiful phone, brilliant, got it pretty much at launch, my first smart phone and by god it's amazing, I'm on £30 pound a month with Orange, 600 mins, unlimited texts and 'net, and I love it. Definite buy.

Though the legend is virtually the same, and looks a lot nicer & is smaller if thats preferable to you. Performance difference between the 2 is tiny.

I much prefer the look of the Desire, I like that the screen stretches to the bottom of the phone rather than stopping a few cm short of the bottom like on the Legend.

got the htc desire yesterday from vodafone - got android which I have been very surprised with (in a good way). Free phone for £30 a month which gives me 300 mins, 3000 texts (will never do anything near that) and 500mb data

Same here!! Still says "Pending stock". Am about to cancel too

Had a couple of calls from Vodafone yesterday saying how they wanted to check I was set up and everything. And then when I said I was still waiting on delivery of the phone they tried to offer me the Legend instead of the Desire.

Was that an 18 or 24 month contract if you don't mind me asking?
