Following on from a thread I posted a few weeks back (quote below) Next Sunday (16th) there is a charity football match(es) between the four main bus garages with at least some of donations going to our friend (who is making progress but sadly it’s very slow)

Anyway, to the thread title, We’ll be representing Whitehawk garage, so if anyone knows any of the ultras that we can borrow a flag and make our presence felt please let me know. I would politely ask though, it would need to be a basic “Whitehawk” flag, nothing political or anything like that if you don’t mind.

Thanks in advance.

Oh, it’s at Woodside Rd I believe, I’ll post more details in the week if anyone’s interested.
Bar will be open (well I bloody hope it is as I’m off Monday!)

[Ignore dates below, this was a past event]
On Weds 24th (hopefully) you’ll se plenty of Brighton & Hove bus drivers wearing Albion shirts (and possibly a few rouge ones!)

One of the garages is holding a fundraising day in aid of a colleague who was suddenly and very unexpectedly taken ill a few weeks back. He’s still very ill and is expected to remain in hospital for some time, he is making progress but it’s a slow process to say the least.

The Albion angle is that he was certainly one of our own, a “tier oner” rarely missing a match home, away or abroad. He’s the sort of fan that ticks all the boxes on the “good neighbour at the Amex thread” Passionate, loyal, knowledgeable and likes the odd beer and a sing up without acting like an arse (well, certainly nothing that would appear on the radar!)

So if you see us on the road tomorrow give us a wave and I’m sure you’ll join in in wishing him a full recovery.

If you DM the club they might be able to find one they can lend you.
Ok, I’ll get my boy to do it as, to bore you with the details once more, a few years back I had a very active Twitter account, quite good natured, a bit left wing but mainly promoting non league football and fan culture. It had about 3000 followers. One Saturday evening after a few beers I posted the water pistol emoji 🔫 in reply to a Clapton FC thread, this was reported as a threat of violence. My account was permanently closed within an hour and subsequently any new account I’ve tried to make using any of mine or my family’s phone number or email has likewise been closed down within days. It is impossible to get a reply or justification for Twitter. When myself and some other users reported an account in Ireland for using the most vile racist terms you can imagine against premier league players, it took Twitter over a week to remove the posts.

Anyway, I’m over it now!
