Anyone else putting today's result down to the Watford spanking?

It was certainly a defeat that was coming, but we kept managing to just paper over the cracks.

Probably a bit harsh on the defensive unit, but as an attacking outfit we had been poor for a while, and certainly a shadow of what we were today.

I can't help thinking a little wake up call, on t'telly, has worked a treat on 'Team BHA'.
Derby, Brum and Blackburn (1 chicken 2 chickens) should help us on our way.

As usual, plenty to look forward too.

Good to see a positive reaction this week after the poor showing against Watford. Today we just carried on from how we played at Ipswich.

We missed Orlandi since he was injured at Huddersfield. He is starting to rediscover the form he was showing back then which made our forward play much more incisive. Lopez and Bridge look up for it too and the confidence of the whole team is growing very nicely. With Buckley on the way back plus maybe a signing to come things are looking fairly rosy.

Come on, we were taken apart by a much better team, playing really well.

Hey my point is a good spanking may be just what everyone from Gus down needed.

i wudnt say we were papering over cracks either

Charlton, Forest, Millwall, Bolton, Palace.

Certainly the middle three were nowhere near up to scratch.

Whatever the previous results, nothing matters apart from what's happening now.
Our last 2 games have been magnificent and we've started scoring again.
Confidence and positivity is rapidly rising.
Fantastic time to support BHA. :albion2:

Thought the Ipswich game was due to our bottom being smacked against Watford to be honest and what a response, bloody brilliant and as for today, well, what can you say, just splendid.

I've got 2 lines on the lottery tonight. I'll buy you a drink if it's my night, can't promise anything though!
I admit I've had my fair share of moan up's about formation and selection, however after the last couple of games I've stuffed myself silly with humble pie. :D

Obviously yes Ipswich was a much needed win and a great response.

I was kind of projecting it through on from Watford, and should have mentioned that game.

Did you go to the game? I did and I thought we were spanked.

Can you please say how you define spanked? I thought that for the first half we were better, and had a number of chances to go ahead - could have been 1 or 2-0. Overall we had 9 chances to Watford's 13 and had 6 on target to their 9. Sure, they had more chances but I would never say 'spanked' - unless you call it any defeat by 2 goals or more. I'd say it needs to be at least 4.

For me I just used the first word to come into my head when describing a game that we really didn't ever look like winning, and deservedly lost.
Esp in context to previous, similar games that we 'rescued' a point from.

I think and certainly hope that loss will go some way to get us back to how we were playing at the start of the season.
Assuming the squad makes it through Jan intact.

Why do so many posts these days start with "Did you go to the game?". It's like people are bragging about it, taking the moral high ground AND saying another persons opinion doesn't matter all in one sentence. f***ing hate people that say that line.

"Did you go to the game? I did". WELL f***ing DONE PAL, you went to a football game, have a chocolate.

Disagree - thought we could have gone in 1 or 2 up at half time. Second half we were up against it but only after Bridge was denied a clear pen when blatantly pulled back by their defender.
