@Bodian and @Bakero - the 2 words I used yesterday which I thought shouldn't be on the Wordle list were VERDE (Portuguese for green) and the answer FORTE - French for errr, something. I thought that there were only (American) English words on the list.

Verde - yes, I take your point! Forte though I think is fair enough, it's been in the English language as it's own thing for a long time. And I think it means something slightly different - I've always thought of the French forte as meaning 'loud' in music, whereas in English it's 'strong point' - as in 'Wordling is not my forte'. Although I guess strong and loud has the same derivation (strong voice).

Anyway, no such worries today (although it also has a french origiantion).
