My starter word eliminates/confirms certain letter combinations. Based on that, I have a mental list of options for guess 2 which again are focused on common letters/combinations. Having had a few beers, I went off-piste with the second guess last night. Had I done what I should've done, I would've got a 2 or 3. Saying that, a devil-may-care attitude has reaped rewards in the past.

Finally those 'word clouds' people like to kick off meetings with have come in useful. Picked a five letter word someone had posted and it gave me four greens, leaving me with a tap in for a two.
