Until now I have used three completely different sets of letters for the first three words and then guessed, usually correctly, on the fourth. Today I just used the first two to narrow down the choices and then guessed. Although this will mean that I get more threes, I wonder if it will also result in more 5s?

Current average exactly 4 from 13 attempts.

Sitting at 4.71 after today, so plenty of room for improvement!

3.47 after 17 games. There's a six in there and one two (pure luck). I am convinved that the way to get better scores is patience. I realise that when I'm rushing it or just not fully focussed, I tend to blow an extra go by making avoidable mistakes or bad calls. But I guess that's true for most things.

Having a mind explosion this morning. I have the first 3 letters after 3 goes and just cannot think of the word. I had fourth guess and thought that was going to be the answer. I'm hooked.

A whistle-stop 3 today, and that was after going off-menu and using a different first word which resulted in five greys.

My second guess was my usual first word, which yielded three yellows and then BOOM straight in next with five greens.

Stats so far: 4*3, 12*4 and 3*5 for an average of 3.31. I also had a single 2, but that happened on my phone and isn't included in my overall stats.
