Anyone been to other football grounds for work?

I went to the City of Manchester Stadium for a business meeting yesterday. It's an amazing place - we were up in the Executive Suite. We met there because one of our Attendance Centre Officers-in-Charge is the Stadium Manager there. The meeting finished early and we were offered a stadium tour, which took in the Directors' Box, vast underground car/coach park where players park and visiting teams arrive. We also got to see the home dressing room and the visiting teams' warm-up area (indoors, would you believe it?) and control room. I took loads of pics on my phone, but have still got to work out how to get them on to the computer, including 2 of Stuart Pearce's tactics board, showing how he thought Villa would line up. Oddly enough, apart from the derby, Villa are the worst fans they deal with. Has anyone else from here been to another ground with work?

I used to do some stewarding at Uni and spent far too much time at Whaddon Road. Standing in front of the away end.

I jumped for joy when the result came through at the end....

"Chester City 1 Brighton & Hove Albion 7" They played Chester next week and I mentioned that to one of them

What on earth is so bad about Villa fans then? I can't imagine they create much hassle on a Tuesday night in Manchester:rolleyes:

Running battles outside, apparently. Some City idiots joined in.

Have been for meetings at the Madejski, never fails to impress me.

The conference suites are nothing special but there is certainly a buzz about the place.

You can eat and drink in the hotel too, although I've never seen any of the rooms.

What a shame we can't have something along those lines at Falmer, the place is a real testament to vision, and Falmer would only be 10 minutes from the centre of Brighton by train.

Oh well.

I went to charlton vs villa last year and sat in the away end and I did get the feeling some of them really fancied some disorder shall we say...

Oh and I also worked at Wembley. I was on the trophy stairs for the magnificent.....FA Vase final  Deal vs Chippenham :D

We broke down on the way to the FA cup final and got replaced :(

I don't think my job will take me to any stadiums. :(

Been to meetings for work at City Ground, Meadow Lane and Field Mill (and trent Bridge if we're including other sports).

Also worked at Valley Parade as an extra during the filming of top hoolie flick ID

Wow, it sounds really different during the week compared to when Reading are playing there.

No, the bit where the bloke has been arrested, and is being walked round the pitch by the coppers, but breaks free and sprints into the crowd, to a hero's welcome!
