I have tended to give DK the benefit of the doubt on these pages and, with regard to Adams, whilst I did not like the Wilkins was disposed of, I thought that Adams might inspire the team to play better. It seems I maybe wrong but surely Knight must take the lionshare of the blame. He took a PR gamble on Adams that, insofar as home games are concerned, has backfired. On the basis of the home league games so far, the performances have been dire.

I would not get rid of Adams now as I think overtime he will build a good team (oh for another Zamora!) but I think Knight deserves a larger amount of stick than he is getting at the moment.

Totally agree with this comment. He is looking tired now. Out of touch with reality and regardless of what he has done in the past he has lost the plot now.

Sadly we are becoming the joke of Sussex witht the way the club is organised from ticketing to the playing side, and Knight has to face this fact.

Time for a change at the very top me thinks. Take the president job, and let someone else breath some life into the club.

Why would anyone want to slate Knight after all he's done for this club. He sacked a shit manager and brought in a good one - he just needs time and the right players.

I don't really want to slate him at this early stage of the season.

All I will say is that his decision to replace Wilkins with Adams, may not have been the right one.

Wilkins was not shit. In fact he did rather well with a very average team last season.

Micky now supposedly has a better than average team, so he needs to go one better than Wilkins at least!

Anyone who thinks Dean Wilkins was shit is "pathetic" to use your word!!!

He took us to seventh with hardly any money, but was constantly battling with DK not supporting him fully, obviously because he had Adams waiting in the wings.

Fine, I accept has been a fantastic chairman and saved the club, but over the last three or four years he seems to have lost touch with the majority of supporters (not those in the inner circle!), and with the various ticket fiascos, lack of support on the playing front etc I really think it is time for him to move on with thanks from everyone on what he has done.

Did I imagine it or was Mickey saying in his post match interview that he needs more support to strengthen the squad now?

And he took us up to 7th as well but he was'nt given the time or the players to push on from there like he should've been.

He had practically two seasons in charge. Yes he took us to 7th but that doesn't mean he's a good manager, his subsitutions were poor, his man-mangement skills terrible and he had lost a lot of the dressing room. Dick Knight made a brave decision to sake him after finishing 7th but he wasn't the right man for the job, which I fully believe also.

Time? He had nearly two seasons!

To be fair, he had his hands tied in the first season. We had a leading line of Revell, Gatting, Robinson and Hart. Hardly shouts goals. His recruits went some way to saving us from relegation that season.

I don't think Adams should be sacked, but the team and the management need to buck up their ideas. Four poor results at home would be easier to swallow if we had played well in at least two of them. The fact is, we have played extremely poorly in all of them.

Edit:

his substitutions were poor...

I would disagree with that on the whole. We turned round many a game last season with a bit of tinkering.

It's remarkable then isn't it, that with such a terrible manager we finished 7th, and yet the same squad sprinkled with a few signings by the supposedly superior Adams is playing much, MUCH worse.

One thing Wilkins could do was get good performances out of the younger players in the squad but so far this season Elphick has gone from being player of the season to a hoofer, Cox has gone from being a creative scoring midfielder to looking out of his depth, Robinson is playing second fiddle to a player who should'nt even be here and Lynch who many people rate as one of the best defenders in the club cant even get a game. Yes Wilkins made some mistakes but he was heading in the right direction where as at the moment we seem to be going backwards.

Agree with all of that. Basically Adams and Wilkins are chalk and cheese. As a rsult all of the good work done last season is in the bin and effectively Adams is starting again.

As he stated in his interview tonight he knew he had come with a lot of work to do. An odd statement for a team that finished 7th last year. But not really because Admas can only play a certain way and manage a certain way, and that is very different to Wilkins. Therefore he almost has to unravel the team and start again. Can't blame Adams, that is the way he is and it worked well last time because a lot needed changing, Problem is what we needed this time was add ons from where we were, not a complete overhaul.

The person responsible for this Knight, and he needs to sart supoorting his managerial judgement with some proper investment. I was told that this was going to properly start this season and I amazed by the lack of good quality signings. Surely now we MUST get some quality loan signings in.

BHAFC is like an old boys club now with any free loaders eager to take easy cash from Uncle Dick.

Uncle Dick may well have to eat his words with bringing back the poison dwarf as on current form this will end in tears.
