Eaten there a couple of times. Food is good but not exceptional. Everyone seems to go to star spot, so I guess it's the Met bar restaurant equivalent.

I've eaten there (about 3 years ago) and it was blimmin nice tuck. Superb wine list, fantastic food and quite a suprisingly homely feel to it.
If you can't be arsed with the booking waiting list, you might find that you'll get a table by going in on the off chance at lunchtime. Make sure you're wearing suitable clobber though.

Ive eaten there and the food was superb and the atmosphere was relaxed and friendly. food was priced about the same as most quality london restaurants (£120-160 for a couple) and there wasnt anyone famous there either.
Id recommend anyone wanting to go to a quality restaurant check out Hakkasan, top top quality far eastern/asian fusian food and you only need to book about 6 weeks in advance.

I was at the Ivy on Saturday. It was my dad's 50th birthday, so i took him my mum and lady.
Although it's 6 months for dinner, the waiting list for lunch is much shorter.
The meal cost £165 for the four of us, which included 3 bottles of wine. They do a lunchtime three course menu for £20 per head.
I thought the food was very good, but i have had better. The best part was the service and atmosphere. I found it unpretentious and very friendly.
As for Hakkasan, it's my flatmate's dad's restaurant - so if you ask very nicely i might be able to sort something out - there again maybe not.
BB - don't bother about hotels in London - not when you could stay with the god that is Dwayne!! Seriously though, i booked my parents a 5* hotel and got it for £50. Go onto priceline.co.uk and you can 'offer' a price for a room. They'll get you the best grade hotel they can for your offer. All rooms sleep at least 2 people.
Ask for clubs, i could recommend loads - depends what kinda thing your after?

Ahh Weezle your the man in the know. Spending the day up there, so that restaurant sounds cool.
There are going to be 9 girls. I think we will be better off at a hotel.
