Falmer Parish Council, with expertise and help from the Media Studies Department of Sussex University have produced a professional video looking at the Falmer village past, present and future and the damaging effect of a stadium built adjacent to a village in the AONB/national park.

what are the media studies department doing getting involved ?

Mind you I am a bit concerned as the two universities and health club at Falmer seem to have disappeared. And I didn't realing the stadium was on top of the duck pond.

Actully, reading some of the comments on the site, the ones related to traffic and transport are not backed up by any figures, any decent arguement and ignore the Withdean PT model and proposed accessibility to the stadium.

Its easy to say without properly viewing the site that is it crap and a bundle of lies. However, after reading through the pages I conclude that it is spurious, a bit slapdash, ignores the positives and over-captilises on the potential negatives. But then what would you expect. Looks like its been put together by schoolchildren.

The opening picture is ridiculous because that isn't where we are building it, as they show later on when they do show the location of the stadium.

Having already said that we are building it on an 8 acre site, they then go on to show a 'typical 25,000 seater stadium' and choose 'The Reebok, built on a 200 acre site.' Hmm, not exactly a direct comparison then is it guys.

The stuff is out of date but just shows you the real strength of their campaign that it hasn't been worked on recently.

Falmer council's use of the apostrophe is offensive enough, never mind their ignorant hatred of football supporters.

Totally agree. Would be pissing myself laughing if it wasn't suh a pathetic atempt. The church and pond is an area of outstanding beauty(ish) and if the Albion were to knock that down and fill the pond, most would agree that, that would be a problem. But for f sake we are building it on a ploughed field, that never seems to be used, with a motorway one side, ugly university on another, more ploughed field on another, and than a shitty little village, in danger of disappearing up its own arse on the other. I cant wait for Fat Guts Prescott to pull his finger out his arse, open the envelope with the 'cash I lost' in it and say YES YES YES
