Anthony Mcnamee - Watford

According to my girl Friday at work who is a Watford STH we are bidding for this young midfielder - anyone heard of this.

It was in London Lite last night apparently

Does that mean the end for Loft, Chamberlain, Skinner etc.? Is Hammond on his way out?

Be interesting to see what comes from this- not sure someone like the Standard would just make up a rumour as random as this? (Though i'm not disputing they make things up).

My firm's accountants are largely Watford supporters - email response from one of them just now:

"He is a very talented young player. He plays on the left wing and has got quite a few tricks. He can beat a man but his only downside is that he's about 4ft 2". possibly the smallest player in the championship so you can't go playing long ball. At one point he was one of my favourite players at the Vic as it looked like he could actually create chances unlike 'players' such as Gavin Mahon.

He hasn't had any first team action for us this year I don't think (may have came on as sub)."

He was electric when he played against us a couple of seasons ago. Only lost his place to Asley Young. Awesome player!!
