If it’s true and he’s had a bust up can’t we send him back and save ourselves half a million quid in wages?

RDZ’s comments about him being sensitive and needing to improve suggest there may be something behind the scenes. Such a shame as I was so excited when he signed. Truly thought he was going to be one of our best and we’d be disappointed we couldn’t keep him. But maybe this reinforces why we don’t buy “big” names. Too expensive for poor return with alleged questionable attitudes.

Hope he enjoys PL2 for the next couple of months until it’s time to get rid

I'm going for the slight knock scenario option to take a wild uneducated guess at the reasoning why he's not been playing,I know that's just a boring punt but stranger things have happened.

Some signings work out, some don't.

Thankfully this one is just a 1 season loan. Disappointed - Yes. Was it worth a punt? Probably.

He was brought in as cover for the injured Enciso. It suited us, as we feared Enciso could be out for the whole season, it suited Barcelona, who couldn’t afford to carry passengers and wanted to get him back to match fitness on somebody else’s dime. It suited Fati, as he was likely to get guaranteed game time.

This was his chance to show he was the player the hype suggested he was. I can only speak for myself, but I’ve only seen glimpses of quality from Fati since his arrival, which hasn’t really helped us, or his parent club, or him.

Thankfully the main headache is Barcelona’s, as they likely have to somehow offload him off their wage bill to be able to register new signings. I’d suspect the achievable price for him is now a lot lower than the figures Barcelona would have sought prior to the loan taking place.

A shame all round, but only one person bears the responsibility, and that’s the player himself. For whatever reason (could be still carrying injury, could be attitude, could be self-belief, or work rate) this hasn’t really worked out. The player has been given the opportunity, but not really taken it. It speaks volumes that the moment Enciso’s fit again, Fati doesn’t even make the squad.

The new Messi? You’re having a laugh.

A stroppy millionaire 22 year old whatever next 🤣 In fairness a run of a few games has seen Baleba excel maybe a run of a few games would have seen Fati excel. How was he ever going to get used to this league on the bench?
Then he should get himself match-ready.

RDZ won't pick him if he isn't

RDZ did say before yesterdays game that Ansu is a ‘sensitive guy’ whatever that means

Dunno, he started with Trossard, moved on to Sanchez, then fell out with Dahoud and now Fati is in the firing line. Maybe he likes to have a fall guy to keep the rest onside
A fall guy?

You think that Tossard dicking about in training was by RDZ's design?
You think that Sanchez sulking in Pizzaland was by RDZ's design?

You appear to have invested in him super-powers beyond imagining

Trossard no (but a different manager may have been kinder to him), Sanchez yes (but we've been over this one on here before). So we don't need to discuss any further ;)

I think I was just light-heartedly pointing out that RDZ seems to have publicly fallen out with more players in one year than I can remember the cumulative body of Brighton managers falling out with for many many years now. So maybe he likes that.

He had a strop at the end of the Forest game and was in the face of one of the backroom staff and had to be pushed away and not really been seen since.
Sauce?

It's very hard to get reliable reports of whatever bust up has occurred.

Though, the fact that he's had Peupion in the squad over him so he can "to work on his fitness" says to me that this experiment is over

And it's good that it's over. We need to be bringing through our own players, that's our model. Getting players like Fati, holds back Barco, Facu, Enciso Let's not even consider taking a loan next season unless there's a strong possibility that it's a loan to purchase

I have seen this sort of behaviour with managers in the workplace many times over the years. So of course it can happen with football managers as well. It's just behaviours and characters of certain individuals. Managers and employees. Because some employees always like to be the victim as well
