Sad days when the bookies are feeling the pinch
Sad days?? You are joking, I hope. The sooner we rid our high streets of bookmakers the better. Lower the tone of every street they are located in.
High streets are littered with bookies now, especially in the North.
Ridiculous situation as the industry needs far more regulating especially those slot machines.
The slot machines gold mine has actually hit the ceiling and takings are in decline hence the closing of certain shops
Due to Osborne raising the tax on FOBT profits.

Due to Osborne raising the tax on FOBT profits.
The FOBT players have spent all their cash and maxed out their credit cards, surprised there is anybody still playing them.
Seems by neglecting their core business of horses, dogs, and football and trying to be amusement arcades the high street bookies have cut their own throats.
