Wrong thread but point still stands #facepalm#We have the best chance of European qualification in our history but the odds are stacked well against us, Arsenal look like title winners. When the dust settles I don't think many would begrudge Trossard for taking the oppertunity to join a top team, we got plenty of service out of him and almost doubled our initial outlay.
Also his agent has probably set himself and his fsmily up for life with his own fee.
Sometimes its worth removing the blue and white spectacles and imagining what we'd do in his situation.
I totally agree with Trossard taking the opportunity to join the potential title winners and securing no doubt a huge pay rise, but why should his greedy agent earn a penny from doing virtually nothing, apart from saying 'my client would like.' Footballers are so thick they get totally fleeced by their agents. The PFA will tell a player roughly what they can expect in wages and bonuses from the club they are signing for as they know this info, based on that the player can surely do the 'I would like x in wages / length of contract / bonuses' bit and then get the contract checked over buy a sports lawyer for a fraction of the cost and without the need to pay a greedy **** agent for the duration of the contract. We have the best chance of European qualification in our history but the odds are stacked well against us, Arsenal look like title winners. blemishIt's hard to find a rhyme for Flemish.
Couldn't agree more but it's part of the fabric of modern football unfortunately. Premier league clubs spent over £270 million on agent fees last year, I assumed it was typo when I read it at first. It's 120 million more than our turnover for the year......crazyI totally agree with Trossard taking the opportunity to join the potential title winners and securing no doubt a huge pay rise, but why should his greedy agent earn a penny from doing virtually nothing, apart from saying 'my client would like.' We’ll all knew he was on his way, no one begrudges his wanting to advance his career. The manner in which it was achieved, however, was odious. We have the best chance of European qualification in our history but the odds are stacked well against us, Arsenal look like title winners. It beggars belief all of that money going out of the game. The only way to stop it is if every club agreed not to pay agents a penny, sounds a good idea but it would just drive the fees to agents underground. 'You want my player do you, well if you arrange a payment to xxxxx I'm sure I can sort it.'Couldn't agree more but it's part of the fabric of modern football unfortunately. The players were responsible for bringing in agents probably as they are clueless in understanding contract negotiatingIt beggars belief all of that money going out of the game. Who isn't an Abba fan? If they say they're not, they're fibbing.Never had you for an Abba fan.
Secret torch for Agnetha?
Looga barooga? Marvelous, have you tried the delights on the Mugal e Shahi curry house? Can't remember any of the pubs permanently wasted whilst living there.Yes, I know he’s Flemish, I made that point and the ‘blemish’ link on my FB version but thought it was too much pedantry for NSC. Greetings from Loughborough. Looking forward to tomorrow.,
I really really don't like ABBA...Who isn't an Abba fan? If they say they're not, they're fibbing.

Yes, of all the more successful money spinning loads of old bolleaux, they most conspicuously lack any redeeming features. OK the singers look like the 'Scans' that teenage boys targeted in Brit'n'n'ove in the 70s, but personally I find that look rather bland.I really really don't like ABBA...
- Fernando FFS!
