The only surprise is how long it's taken to come, since the emergence of Card Factory.
Wise words. You can buy 7 budget cards for a quid in Card Factory, and they're really not all that crap. The only surprise is how long it's taken to come, since the emergence of Card Factory.
Dont think it will be long before watch manufacturers start noticing that all mobile phones do what watches used to do...and panic into diversifying...Only worn my watch a couple of times since having mobile phone.

Why would ANYONE piss about in a Clintons looking for a card? You then have to go buy stamps and THEN find a postbox.
HASSLE
I go online, pick a card on screen, personalise it, type in the address and pay and it's all done

A posted card, signed and perhaps with a brief message, can be a classy gesture. An emailed device is just naff, like petrol station flowers and someone playing I Did It My Way at a funeral. Having said that, I have never seen a card in Clintons that I could possibly send to anyone I'm remotely fond of.
Clinton Cards is not a big surprise was on my dodgy shares watch list for ages but I decided they were too dodgy even for me and that means they are doomed usually, although I do get some wrong, DSG being one so far.
Their problem really is not the state of the market but the fact they expanded too quickly and took on a load of debt which they cannot now service and cannot find new sources of finance, fairly similar to Woolies (although in Woolies case it was the asset stripping of Kingfisher before they launched them on their own again that really caused Woolies debt).
They will not disappear the debt has been sold to their largest supplier who has insisted they pay the loan back and no doubt will buy the prime assets out of administration re-brand and carry on. They have basicly bought the assets on the cheap making the shareholders, and other creditors pick up the bill.
A quick glance at your wrist vs getting your phone out of your pocket, turning the screen on and then putting it back in your pocket.
I know which I prefer.
