If you're going to Friday's anniversary dinner, or you collect Albion memorabilia, this may interest you.

The Albion Collectors' and Historians' Society (BHACHS) has produced two postal covers to mark the 25th anniversary of the 1983 FA Cup final and the 50th anniversary of the 1958 Third Division (South) championship. These will be in a similar style to the one we produced to mark the 10th anniversary of the last game at the Goldstone Ground.

These will be on sale at the dinner on Friday night, from table no.5. They are priced at £3 each or £5 the pair, the proceeds going to support the aims of BHACHS among which is an Albion museum at the Community Stadium. So if you want a pair at the dinner, please bring a fiver with you and see us on table 5. However, please do not do this while the presentations, videos, etc are underway.

The covers have colourful pictorial designs of the personnel involved, special (but valid) postage stamps, and the "vital statistics" of the matches in question (the final game against Watford for the 1958 cover). They will be hand franked with the date 4th April 2008, "Anniversary Dinner", and "Grand Hotel".

There is also a double-sided light-card insert with much more information about the events they commemorate, and the whole thing comes in a cellophane bag to keep them neat, clean and tidy. Each cover is a limited and numbered edition of 500.

If you're not going to the dinner, then - subject to permission from the club and subject to availability - you will be able to buy them from me near the South Stand programme booth for about half an hour before the game on Saturday.

Failing that, if there are any left, PM me your details and I will sell by mail order at an extra cost of 80p (UK). Don't send a cheque yet, we'll see what's left - but you can PM me now and get into the queue. First come, first served!

PS Paid-up current BHACHS members - you'll get a pair free!
