According to Alistair Darling today, "homeowners who install wind turbines and solar panels that feed power into the National Grid will be paid £900 a year"

so she'll be clawing back the costs via taxpayers one way or the other.

Never made The Argus before, but I mean EVERY damn word of what I said.

My dad died in august and will never get to see the new stadium because of LDC's petty, jealous and nasty campaign. He had to endure seasons of wind, rain and cold while sitting in his wheelchair at Withdean watching the team he loved.

If we were talking about a Lap daincing club, Brothel, or Coffee shop, I'd have understood the level of anti that LDC put up. However, we are talking about a stadium for the local football team. Football being the main sport of the country. So, they opposed something for "the people". Whatsmore as I understand most of the stadium is on Brighton councils patch, who were more than happy with it's positioning.

LDC have A LOT to answer for still....

With news getting out that there's a campaign from bitter albion fans out for revenge, I imagine most complaints will be completely dismissed, which may include some legitimate ones.

All we've done is given the council an excuse to dismiss every complaint and let the planning permission pass with ease.

On another note, this may not be popular, but shouldn't we move on? We've won. The stadium is being built. Do we need to be petty and vindictive? What purpose does it serve? Are we going to be in a position where we need Ann DeVicchi's support for more planning permission? If so do you think this is going to work? Will she think "oh those rascals learned me a lesson, I'll support them!" or is she more likely to use this as inspiration to stand against us again?

If we need other people's support is it right that we get it out of fear that we may cause trouble? Don't we want the system to work properly, and for that people need to be free of intimidation.

Isn't it time we let go of our anger for Ann, for the Falmer residents, the landlord of the local pub, heck, even norman baker? We won, they lost. Falmer's on the way and they've run out of ways to stop us.

Don't worry, I'm not going to suggest letting go of our anger for archer and belotti, I'm sure that's a touch too far.

Christ that sounds like its come from a bloody Liberal!!, NO is the answer to that. They did'nt want the stadium because they hated football and Brighton and Hove as a city , Lewes sees itself as the ' premier town' of East Sussex and thats whats this was all about.

It was nasty, vindictive and full of petty jealously so I say give it to them with both barrells. When we stood outside the Liberal party conference in one of the last demos on the seafront I remember a party member giving us the one fingered salute as he left the Brighton Centre. These things stick in your mind.

Too bloody right. So many Nazis got away with their crimes because people, sort of understandably at the time but in hindsight it's hard to stomach, wanted to move on and forget the past. Didn't make it right though - and LDC, Bellotti, Archer and Stanley are our Nazis. IMHO. Never forget. Never forgive. Too many fans have passed away during the stay of execution they orchestrated. THey deserve our utter contempt and everything they get, such as this mischief making, is richly deserved.

Hmmm didn't someone else suggest this earlier in this thread.

Acker has repeated a lot of what I said a couple of days ago. It's time to move on now this being in the local media does cast Albion fans in bad light when they shouldn't be thought of like that. We won the right to build Falmer its being built for gawd sake. We won the War now just be thankful and prepare to enjoy the stadium. The thought of a full and noisy stadium almost on her doorstep destroying the supposed peaceful tranquility of an outlying area of Lewes district will be more than enough to get right on her tits every other weekend.

NO IT f***ing ISN'T !!!!!!

As some posters have mentioned, fans have died waiting for this because of underhand tactics ( possibly even illegal ) by LDC, FPC and Norman Baker. NEVER FORGET, NEVER FORGIVE. If we do that we might as well forgive Archer !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you really think that there is a possibility anyone in a position of power acted illegally the best thing you can do to try and destroy De Vecchi not only politically but in other ways as well is to issue a high court writ against her.

If you are really that clinical in your hatred of her this is the best way forward for you. Making an objection against her sons planning application is going to do nothing more than make her believe she really got up peoples noses and how clever she is for doing so. I am pretty sure this planning application will sail through the process and De Vecchi will be laughing with friends and colleagues about how much she can manipulate the lives of those Brighton fans. The whole panning process in Lewes could be modified after this and it could well open up yet another can of worms. It could also cause those thousands who actually live in Brighton and Hove and who didn't want the stadium in Falmer despite the findings of the inquiry to voice their opinions again and what should be a magnificent landmark for the club tarnished in some negativity.

Ow do shut up. You make it sound like Westdene's the only 1 who hates LDC. And as if he's about to take up your advice?! What a Plum. As talksport would say, "whata waste of ink" :nono:

You really are living in your own little world aren't you ? The planning process is laid down by law - Lewes can't change it by themselves ! And exactly how would local opponents voicing their opinions tarnish the opening of the stadium ? They can write as many letters to the Argus et al as they like - it won't tarnish my enjoyment, excitement, relief, pure joy and happiness when I'm at the first match there.

So answer this - do you suggest we forget about Archer ? If not what is the difference ?

What I mean is they may review how they field objections

Bill Archer did what he did for his own personal gain and did not care about the Albion nor Brighton and Hove the two aspects are totally different.

I personally think this is petty but that is just my opinion. Has anyone established what the club think of all this?

How do we know they aren't brokering a deal to work in conjunction with LDC and FPC in the future.

I agree with Acker79. Don't "forget" but time to move on. Why sink to their depths?

And to quote the Dalai Lama: "Compassion is not religious business, it is human business, it is not luxury, it is essential for our own peace and mental stability, it is essential for human survival".

I'm all peace and love tonight :p
