Am I missing something? He hasn't jumped on any bandwagons as far as I can tell. Apparently posh people can be into football too and according to a chum of mine who has worked with him, he's a footie fan. Been a Villa fan since school.

I just don't believe he's a football fan. It's a bit like the Queen going to Wimbledon yesterday: she clearly had no interest whatsoever but had to keep up appearances.

Plenty of rich and/or posh people are big football fans. I just don't happen to believe David Cameron is one of them. He may prove me wrong by reciting the complete Villa European Cup winning team by heart. But I doubt it. Loads of politicians exaggerate their sporting affiliations in an attempt to win the popular vote, it's not just Cameron.

Well he certainly didn't press his footballing credentials when working for itv digital as they went bust and he advised them on their handling of football league clubs during the aftermath. As for villa he has said he has am interest as a relative used to be chairman.

I don't like cricket but I still support the English cricket team when they play - it's because I'm ENGLISH and nothing to do with which sport it is.
