Lynch in race to be fit

Albion are sweating on the fitness of Joel Lynch for Saturday's first game of the season at Crewe.
Lynch is in pole position to occupy the left-back spot, providing he recovers from a groin injury sustained in the first half of last Saturday's friendly at Luton.
The 20-year-old defender missed training again today and boss Micky Adams said: "We won't take any chances if he's not fit."
If Lynch is ruled out it could prompt a fairytale return for Kerry Mayo, re-signed by Adams after Albion released him at the end of last season.
Mayo is among the contenders at left-back, along with Matt Richards, David Livermore and Adam El-Abd.
