Why can this not be about ITV getting rid of another of their pony pundits?

Robbie Earle was on the FA shortlist of ambassadors to help the WC bid... but he never played for England and is in fact famous for scoring Jamaica's first ever WC goal.

Why would he be involved - 'cos he is* on the TV?

Heaven's sake...

I played in a corporate 6 a side football tournment in London last night with work. It was organised in the name of Spurs and was run by a couple of guys that do some admin work for Spurs and also coach some of the youth team. I got talking with one of them afterwards and when I told him I was a Brighton fan, he said that one of their youngsters was joining us on a season long loan. He said it was their left winger Andros Townsend. Apparently he is away playing for one of the England junior sides, U19's or U20's I forget which one, at the moment, but on his return he will be linking up with us.

Having seen him play for Orient a couple of times last year against us, I reckon he would be a pretty decent signing and would perhaps solve our problems on the left hand side.

At the moment he's out in America with the Spurs squad for a pre season tour. This loan move could happen as Spurs don't have a team in the reserves league, so any players that are not in the first team squad will be sent out on loan to gain match experience. Like Bostock, Townsend, Tarrabt, Obika, Caulker did last season.

Will he be ok to play on Saturdays? Or will he have to go to the Synagogue?

My Spurs supporting mate said Harry said Townsend wouldnt be going out on loan this season and he's currently in the States training with the 1st teams squad. :/

This.

Bentley could be out for 3 months and with the new rules I think Harry would keep him around if Bentley is out for that long.

lsnt it refreshing not to see those same names, (Arsenal, Manchester United, Chelsea and Liverpool), not being continually mentioned when it comes to international football in thiis country?, in fact, Liverpool not at all.

Somehow, by the time these players are mature enough to play for the senior England team, they either fall by the wayside, or move to a team in the top four of the Premier League.
