Crofts - agreed.

He was class for us the first time round, and then for Norwich at a higher level.

Don't know if he's knackered from just becoming a dad, but at the moment his performances have been poor.

Hammond - overall, he's impressed me in most games. Wasn't born the most talented player, but christ he's worked on his game over the years.

I think we should give him the armband, he was quality and I think we need a captain in midfield, Greer doesn't do it for me.

The signing of Crofts was dragged out in the summer because, he wanted the captaincy. This was a stumbeling block in the transfer. It clearly got ironed out because he signed. But he was a star in the Norwich side that won this division, more than held his own in the prem and for some reason now he looks half that player. Something is clearly wrong with him atm, hope he finds his form soon as he is a top end championship player when he is on his game.

My opinion is that we don't have the structure of the team right for the players to be seen at their best. Poyet seems to be picking the team and then drawing a formation out a hat.

I struggle to see what the game plan is some times.

I would also like to know what is going on with KLL, Bridge and Vicente. Players seem to get injured promised to return in a couple of weeks then disappear down a black hole.

Been a bit of a stop start season for him and not an 'off the bench' type player that gets noticed. That said he will get his chance soon when Hammond picks up his inevitable 5th yellow

For some reason Poyet likes to be sparing with the truth ... I understand the need for a bit of mystery when it comes to team selections/set up etc but he goes way beyond what I reckon is normal.

I now officially refuse to believe him

As for Crofts it's a mystery ... hope whatever it is gets sorted quickly because he's way off what he was

I dont think its Crofts fault, he has just been unlucky with injury.

What made him an excellent player for us last time was his consistency, he is not really a match winner despite the odd crucial goal he scored for us last time. He was a 7 out of 10 player every game which you need in a side and he was also a very good captain. He needs a decent run in the side and then I am sure we will see the best of him again.

If you could spell his name right while reading what he says when he says it, you'd know the answer. He's only recently got back to full fitness and is competing in a much better team than last time he was here. Hammond and Croft (with an s on the end) haven't set the world alight but neither have been or had been playing regularly. Give them a chance. They'll be crucial players second half of the season.

Gus, Barnes, CMS, Greer, Dunk, Bruno all have their own criticism threads, now Crofts

All we're missing is Calde, Hammond, Buckley & Kuszcack then that's the entire team singled out for being rubbish

Wankers.

This is exactly what I was going to say. We aren't 8th in the championship because we only have a few players that aren't shit. I bet if Palace went down to 10 yesturday, and we scraped a 1 - 0 victory, none of these posts would have appeared, not a single one. We would be saying we will win the division at walking pace, and start thinking about the big ties next season.

It's amazing how quickly fans can turn. I haven't been a fan long enough to give my opinion, but people have said this is one of (if not the) best Albion teams since our top flight antics. One loss, and it sounds like we should be playing Braintree and Lincoln down in the Blue Square.

If Calde was playing regularly, he'd be shit and we'd be calling for someone else. Hammond has been toilet since he came back, but above all, Buckley and Ballsack (as I like to call him) have been the most overrated players to wear the stripes. Buckley just does loads of stepovers and scores too many fluke goals (I'm thinking of renaming him Zaha) and frankly Kuzcak, however you spell it, all he does is make save after f***ing save while apologizing to the opposition for accidentally getting his hands in the way. At least Ankers was entertaining.

was interesting on seagulls player that he himself said is only just fully fit and gave himself a 7/10 for the season.

I'd give him a 6 so far

He joined us from norwich. I imagine there's been relocation to go along with the recent birth of a second child, and an injury. I believe he is a human being, so perhaps this has all affected him a bit, and he needs a chance for things to settle down. (I would also imagine there's a bit of a knock to the confidence to be sold by a prem team to a championship side).
