He wants to sign for us, and we want to sign him. But he needs to get international aggrement before he can. He needs this international aggrement because he worked in Saudi, and the saudi club have him on there registration...give him a couple of weeks and he can join.

our office manager went for a run last night, she saw a dog, weeing up a lamp post who barked in code to her that when it had a pooh up at falmer earlier that day it saw Kanchelskis peel off from training to sign a document . . . . . .unfortunately it turned out to be a DHL delivery with a flask of hot tripe soup sent from his homeland by his mother.

I've said for 3 weeks now "I reckon he'll sign later this week" so therefore this week I reckon he'll sign later this week Other than that I have no official news.

SC expects him to become an Albion player over the next week or so. Sir Steve is usually so cagey about stuff like this - if he says he expects him to sign - Andrei has probably signed a 4-year player/coach deal and is in the starting XI for Saturday.

Spoke to someone the other day who said he has other interests outside football to stay in the East Grinstead area - interests that earn him enough money to play for us just for pin money - also he's earned shed loads over the years from football that he's no longer in it for the money

I heard that we've made him an offer and we are still waiting to hear back from him as to whether he is accepting it or not.

Apparently the registration thing is all sorted and the Saudi club will release the paperwork if he decides to join us (althoguh International clearance will still need to be sorted and possibly a work permit - Ukraine ain't part of the EC)

Clearly he is taking his time on coming to a decision though so it's no longer the clear cut certainty that it looked two weeks ago - more the vague possibility that Coppell referred to at the fans forum at the start of the month.

OK, ignore all that. From the official site, his agent is now saying it's 50/50 that he'll sign. This has come from him originally saying 'once the loose ends are tied up, he'll sign'. SC says we can't offer him anymore and he's already stalled for a few weeks -can now see this not coming off.
