not only did she think she has the right to someone else's seat because she was early, but then she had the bottle to shout at a steward because he was in the way of her viewing.???

I thought it was the time honoured tradition that it is "sit where you like" when going to away games, or have the glory hunters ruined that too?

I thought it was that half the away following wanted to sit in exactly the seat mentioned on their ticket and the other half wanted a free-for-all. You also get those who turn up late from the pub and just want to stand in front of someone who is sat in a seat in the space intended for their feet, yes some dozy mare did that to me at Derby a few seasons back...might have been the same one whose selfish actions started this thread.

I've always gone by the rule of away games are sit where you like, Unless it's a sell out in which case go to your place.

if it's not a sell out and you have a 75% sell out and you lose out on a great seat behind the goal to selfish people & have to sit near the corner flag because you arrived late, then it's wrong, but hey that's life

Firstly who sits in their actual seat at an away game?

Secondly what of div moans about someone sitting in their seat at an away game?

Thirdly if a steward or a copper or anyone else for that matter stood in my way I think I'd have a moan about it.

Guessing you must be in the supporters club and Costa has put you up to this whinge?

actually, i was fed up at all of her gesturing and shitty attitude. because when she got up to shout at this steward, she was in turn, spoiling my view, not to mention the fact that the fan who was displaced by this moron had bought 3 seats next to each other, whereas she just waltzed along and said nope, i'm more important.

I stand where my seat is if it's a sell out and if someone's in my seat I ask them to move. No one has acted like a div about this and refused but if they did then I would engage the services of a steward to move the div on.

Well why didn't you do anything at the time??

Why...because it's far easier to build it up and wait until you are back home and have a proper moan on the internet!

Hell
So if you don't sit in the allocated seat and have a free for all what happens at half time when you go for a piss or a dump then on return someone is sitting in said seat.

Exactly, pseudonym. I can't believe the attitude of people like Arthur. When was the last time that Brighton played away from home and did not fill at least 75% of the away end? You can't have people just sitting where they like or it will lead to arguments which will spoil the view of everyone.

A typical scenario: a group of 4-6 guys who buy tickets for a game turn up to find that 3 of their seats are taken. Is it fair that those without seats should have to sit elsewhere? And what if they decide to get shitty about it, as they are entitled to do?

It wouldn't happen at home, and now we are in the 'big time' we have to play by different rules.

Had to sit in row F( as per the ticket) just before kick off, tried to see any empty seats higher up and couldn't. So had a pretty poor view. We only move if there are seats that are empty just before K.O.

At every away game we go to we seem to be near the front :(, does anyone know a reason for this? ( we have a adult and a U18 maybe that's the reason, lot of young children near the front)
